[TV] Steve Martin & Alec Baldwin To Host Oscars
Posted by Ashish on 11.04.2009
What do you think?
Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin are set to co-host the Oscars on March 7th. Martin has hosted the show before, in 2001 and 2003. Baldwin has never hosted before.
Anybody except Sacha Baron Cohen or Russell Brand is fine by me.

the oscars by far is the biggest most important award show. yet it is the more boring to watch, regardless of host.
the problem isnt the host. the problem is every major blockbuster gets no recognition. then some film only four people saw gets 12 nominations.

Oh you mean like Titanic did in 1997 after being the highest grossing movie ever?

Guest#8735 that was over a decade ago.
I make an effort to see all the nominated films (which is going to be a bitch this year), but I can see how the general public that dosen't wouldn't care.

Well I think that pretty much makes it the general public's fault for not seeing these movies. Slumdog Millionaire won best picture and people are like "waaaa i didn't even see that movie, who cares?? Dark Knight FOREVER!!"
First of all, I don't think Slumdog should have won, but ya know what...I SAW IT! And i live in fucking Kansas! If people want to complain about Transformers not getting nominated and some other movie they haven't seen winning, then maybe it would be there own damn fault for not watching something worthwhile.
